a fair shake

If I’m going to stick to my goal of eating vegan about 2/3 of the time this year, I’m going to need to have an arsenal of “meaty” snacks that can check my hunger AND flirt with my taste buds.  Here’s a smoothie with American thighs. 

Pair it with You Shook Me All Night Long by AC/DC.

Blend 3/4 c. unsweetened soy milk with a scant 1 tablespoon of almond butter1 peeled kiwi, and 2 pitted dates.  The almond butter adds heft, the dates sweetness, and the kiwi a pleasantly acidic kick.
